The collapse of British airline Flyglobespan has left 4,500 people stranded at holiday destinations in Spain, Portugal, Cyprus and Egypt.

The Scottish based carrier grounded flights after its tour operator parent company suffered a cash crisis.

The jobs of around 800 airline staff are at risk.

Rival carriers have offered stranded passengers special repatriation fares on routes that overlap with Flyglobespan’s.
