There seems to be a lot of public health alarms. H1N1, avian flu, drug resistant strains of tubercolosis… These are some of the new threats that have grabbed our attention and compelled politicians to act. Andrew Lakoff is one of our experts on disasters. He researches new biological and environmental threats, pandemic measures, biotechnologies, public response to health alarms.
