Having produced several odes to London, a nod to Spain and a full scale love letter to Paris, the next leg of Woody Allen’s European tour is Italy where he has filmed his new opus To Rome with Love.
The film plays with Italian stereotypes and stars the director, along with Penelope Cruz, Judy Davis, Ellen Page, Alec Baldwin and Roberto Benigni who won an Oscar for La Vita e Bella.
The decor is rich, elegant and snobby, with accents of sunshine, cliche and irony.
