A private Tunisian television station has been fined, after showing a film that includes a scene depicting God.
Nessma broadcast the animated ‘Persepolis’ film, which is about a girl growing up in Iran.
It enraged Salafi Islamists, some of whom attacked the television station. The depiction of God is forbidden in Islam.
Nabil Karoui, the head of Nessma, was found guilty of disturbing public order and attacking moral values.
