Chelsea supporters erupted with joy on Saturday after watching their team beat Bayern Munich to win this year’s Champions League.

It is the first time the London club has lifted the trophy in its 107-year history.

There will likely be several sore heads in the blue part of the British capital after riotous celebrations.

Chelsea’s non-travelling fans packed into bars and pubs across the city to see a nail-biting penalty shootout.

One Chelsea fan hailed from Ivory Coast, Didier Drogba’s homeland

“I’ve grown up with this club since the age of 12,” he said. “I’m very proud.”

The streets will be awash with blue again when the English club holds a victory parade at 5 pm Central European Time on Sunday after flying back from Germany.
