Performers and organisers are all running through their last minute preparations for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Azerbaijan.

While a few of the performers may have the jitters, Romanian singer Elena Ionesco, who is in Baku with her group Mandinga, seemed to be handling the pressure very well when she spoke to euronews:

“I feel very good because for us it is the most important moment in life is now, I hope to be in the top five, for us it is the most important,” she said.

However Italy’s Nina Zilli did admit to a few pre-performance nerves.

“I will be worried just before going on stage and maybe my legs will be a little cranky like oh shaking but as soon as I open my mouth I just think about singing because it’s also very therapeutic,” Zilli said.
