French duo defend Dakar titles Australia’s Mark Webber produced a stunning performance to clinch the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday and become the sixth winner in as many races in the 2012 Formula One season.
Germany’s Nico Rosberg produced a solid run but eventually had to settle for second place, while two times world champion Fernando Alonso completed the podium for Ferrari and now leads the overall standings.
Defending champion Sebastian Vettel and Webber are three points adrift while Britain’s Lewis Hamilton is now 10 points further back after a disappointing fifth place finish.
The next race is the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal on June 10.
