Greenpeace ‘polar bear’ draws attention to Arctic… A quartet of Russian billionaires and the Kremlin may soon fight it out over BP’s 50 percent share in the country’s third-largest oil producer TNK-BP.
BP is to sell its stake, valued at just over 24 billion euros, and it says it has already had an expression of interest. The Kremlin could control over 50 percent of Russian oil if it can snaffle TNK-BP and stymie the four oligarchs of the AAR consortium.
