Reaction in Madrid’s stock exchange to the European bailout fund for Spanish banks went from euphoria to realism on Monday. Most of the banking sector’s stocks were up at the close, but the opening rally waned throughout the day. The 100 billion euros made available by the eurozone will enable Spain to bail out its struggling banks. But uncertainties remain in the long run.
