Euro 2012: Winner takes all French and Ukrainian supporters were both feeling confident, as they travelled to see their sides go head-to-head Donetsk.
At Kiev train station just before setting off two French fans predicted a 2-1 victory for France, and added: “We can’t crush them, because then we will have a bad night out, and moreover we love the Ukrainian people, they’re brilliant!”
Predictions from Ukrainian fans were rather different, although with equal friendliness towards their opponents they said: “We respect France, they’re strong, but tonight we’re going to win!”
Ukraine sit in a strong position at the top of group D, with three points after winning their game against Sweden. While France and England both sit two points behind following their one all draw.
