Spain’s Cesc Fabregas struck the winning spot kick as the reigning champions beat Portugal 4-2 on penalties after their Euro 2012 semi-final ended goalless after extra time in Donetsk on Wednesday

João Moutinho and Bruno Alves both failed to convert from the spot leaving the former Arsenal playmaker to hit home the winning penalty and send La Roja through.
