Dutch chemicals firm Akzo Nobel beat forecasts in the second quarter on higher revenue after it put up prices for its products.

The world’s largest paint and coating maker, who’s products include Dulux, saw its share price top the gainers on the Amsterdam index.

But Akzo Nobel is sensitive to the economic environment and is cutting jobs and restructuring to make savings.
