More body parts found in Canadian river

Police in Canada have found two severed hands in a river near Toronto. Earlier this week a human head and foot were discovered near the same spot.

Since then police divers and sniffer dogs have been searching the river in Mississuaga, a city of 700,000 just west of Toronto.

All the parts were found within a short distance all although it has not been forensically proved, it is thought they are from one body

“Based on the circumstances and totality of what’s going on, the liklihood of it being the same person is, commonsense-wise, probably pretty high”, said Sergeant Pete Brandwood of Peel Regional Police.

Investigators say there is no reason to believe the case is linked to Luke Magnotta. The porn actor was arrested in June after the severed head of a Chinese man was found in a Montreal park.

He has pleaded not guitly to a murder charge in that case.
