Electricity prices in Belgium should not be raised in the wake of a safety shutdown at a nuclear power station, the country’s Economy Minister Johan Vande Lanotte has warned.

Two reactors at the site north of Antwerp have been closed. The regulator said thousands of cracks in the infrastructure needed investigating. The reactors produce nearly a fifth of Belgium’s electricity.
